the difference between birds and birbs
Today I wanted to show you a little panel from the comic book Bran I worked on for the past months together with writer Flora Grimaldi.
Flora asked me at the beginning if I wanted to make a book with her and I have to admit I hesitated then. I was never very confident with my comics. I did a few short ones and a lot of people told me they liked them, but still I was very unsure if they were any good. (I never felt like this about my illustrations…) Even though I still was very selfconscious and basically freaking out about it all, I decided to say yes to Flora.
When I started working on the book, it was hard sometimes to not always think to myself, „that’s probably not good enough“ or „other people are better than you are“(the last one is most definitely true). But that will always be the case and why go through all the trouble thinking that all the time. It only makes you miserable and stops you from trying new things and evolve.
So now I look at all the positive : I learned so much new things, got hopefully better at it and had a lot of fun working together with wonderful people.
So thanks to you, Nicolas and Flora, and thanks to everyone who decides to take a look on the finished comic in January (only in french unfortunately)!
And thank you so much to Steven who helped me to think more positively. You’re the best!
Best. Comic. Ever.
me cause football right around the corner
Wow. Tumblr is supposed to be a sanctuary, a safe haven, even, for alternative lifestyles. Not for high school jocks interested in the most common thing ever. Seriously, football is exactly the kind of thing someone joins tumblr to escape from. Stop watching football and go join a fandom, or delete your account.
Signed, a proud football-hating SuperWhoLockianStuckSwimmingOnTitanPotter fan.
